Opinion: MAN this guy is a good preacher...

I set my homepage to RaptureReady.com, it everything concerning the impending rapture: daily news about prophecy related events, weekly commentary on said news, even notes to those who have missed it...

What caught my attention today was this article. Boy howdey is this guy a good preacher (Definately better than me, 'cuz... you know, I'm not that good to begin with.) The title of it is "Free Real Estate: No Money Down." Refering to what Jesus said in John 14 1-4 which says...

Let not your heart be troubled. If you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go now to prepare a place for you. And if I prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you onto myself that where I am you may be also.

I knew what he was talking about, but yet I was so intrigued by the way he said it that I just kept going for a bit. This is the first paragraph, copy and pasted from the article itself...

How would you like to have a luxurious mansion with sweeping vistas, great neighbors, and perfect weather? Even more so, how would you like to be given this mansion, free of charge? Believe it or not, such an offer is on the table right now, and it can be yours for a limited time only.

He sure knows how to open his articles... me, I'm not so good at this. My people skills are... lacking... at best. I always play out these preaching scenarios in my mind, but it usually ends with cops being called and me pulling a gun on myself, or calling someone a nazi.

Moving on, this preacher reminds us that materialism is the primary obstacle standing between us and Christ. Now this is extremely disturbing to me. I have all these DVDs, books, CDs and two Flat Screens... and not a clue which ones to get rid of. (Actually, at the time of typing this, I have an idea...)

He also assures us that even though the world will hate us for claiming such a reward, we used to be one of them too. I have a brother that called me "dumb" for believing in Christ, among other things, but does that stop me? Absolutely not.

Well, I got a hundred things to do and only 24 hours to do it in, so I'll just sum it up... this guy is a better preacher than I'll ever be. Bing, bang, done.
